⚠️ IMPORTANT PURCHASE NOTE
This product contains the seven materials (Glass, Shade-Glass, Mirror, Metal, Brass, Ebony, and Ivory) ONLY. The indicative renders of mesh-based assets are for demonstration purposes and are NOT INCLUDED.
This is also a native Blender shader network (.blend format). It does not contain pre-baked image maps. For use inside game engines (Unreal, Unity, etc.), the user must bake the procedural nodes to image textures within Blender prior to export.
OVERVIEW
These seven materials (Shade-Glass, Mirror, Brass, Ebony, Ivory, plus standard Glass and Metal from the Marine Chronometer Series) are 100% procedural through Blender's shader node system. They are engineered specifically to remain lightweight (for render performance) while providing enough surface detail (for close-up shots).
As the materials are generated mathematically within Blender, there are zero external image textures to load, unpack, or manage. An image is only required for the optional Ivory engraving feature i.e. if you want to import custom text (or line-art).
FEATURES
-> Dynamic Lighting Response: Flat/studio lighting creates a clean, uniform finish (suitable for stylised rendering), whereas contrasted/low-angle lighting will highlight the surface details (suitable for realistic rendering).
-> Surface Details:
-> Glass: Smooth glass pitting, faint colour mottling, and lighting-dependent marks.
-> Shade-Glass: A variant of Glass with a rougher and darker shade, less colour, and more marks.
-> Mirror: Distributed indents and pitting to show subtle damage from a distance, as well as creating unique light reflections from different angles.
-> Metal: Mild corrosion layered above surface pitting, ideal for adding hardware accents (such as screws) to larger objects.
-> Brass: Mild discolouration and surface pitting, ideal for adding signs of wear to a heavily-used object.
-> Ebony: Organic wood grain structures combined with roughness variation to break up specular reflections.
-> Ivory: Subtle grain patterns combined with faint colour mottling and subsurface scattering.
-> Customisable Engraving: A procedural feature on the Ivory material that converts any black-and-white image into an engraving, with edge softening and normal-based depth. This feature is demonstrated in the following video: https://youtu.be/oXHLd0IXPGA
INTERFACE
-> Asset-Browser Compatible: Instant drag-and-drop access within any project.
-> Control Nodes: Custom control node groups expose clear sliders for major parameters (such as scale).
-> Unrestricted Access: The original node trees remains fully accessible for advanced structural modifications.
CONTENTS
-> 1x .blend file: Contains the seven procedural materials applied to pre-lit studio spheres for initial viewing.
-> 1x .txt setup file: A step-by-step guide outlining Asset Browser usage in conjunction with this product.
-> 1x .txt feature file: A step-by-step guide outlining the Engraving feature on the Ivory material.
